Dan Wrightsman is the Deputy Director of Operations for the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs. He was born and adopted in Seoul, Korea by his parents. He grew up in the Army and after his father retired, he and his family moved to Texas. Shortly after he moved to California, where he graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Army as an infantryman. During his time in service, he completed Ranger School and retired after thirty years of service as a Sergeant Major. Upon retirement, he joined the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs as a way to help Veterans during their transition process and help when Veterans face challenges. He is married and has two children in high school.
