Hannah Merchant

Hannah Merchant joined the Marine Corps shortly after graduating high school in 2014. During her time in service, Hannah enjoyed a successful, meaningful career as a Motor Transportation Operator, where she also met and married fellow Marine, Myles Merchant. They promptly started a family and with both on active duty, it became a challenge on the home front. Hannah juggled motherhood with her commitments to the military, all while her husband went on deployments and training ops. As a Drill Instructor, Myles worked long hours, often leaving Hannah to manage alone. When her daughter was two, Hannah realized she needed to create a stable home environment for their growing family and opted not to re-enlist. She got out of the Marine Corps to focus on her family and education. Since completing her associate and bachelor's degree, she has worked as the Producer for “After Action” and is now SCETV’s Assistant Director of National Content.
