Doug Cochran
Retired Colonel Doug Cochran (Air Force) was serving as the commander of the 58th Tactical Fighter Squadron at the time of the Khobar Towers terrorist attack on June 25, 1996, in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia – a bombing that resulted in more than 500 casualties. After surviving the blast, Doug led the rescue efforts in the days and weeks after the tragedy. This singular event reverberated throughout Doug’s life and helped shape him into an exemplary leader, providing tools he still uses today. Born in Washington, DC, Doug grew up in Columbia, Maryland, and now lives in Blythewood, South Carolina.
